Annarita Egidi | Head of Europe and Canada Oncology Business Unit | Takeda Oncology

Annarita Egidi, Head of the Europe and Canada (EUCAN) Oncology Business Unit (OBU), is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and overall performance of the Oncology portfolio in 37 countries across Europe and Canada. Annarita brings more than 25 years of experience to the role, having previously held leadership positions at Italian, EU, US, and Japanese-based pharmaceutical organizations.

Annarita first joined Takeda in 2013 as Market Access Director at Takeda Italia Società per azioni (S.p.A) – a position she held for five years. Most recently, Annarita was at the helm of Takeda Italia S.p.A. as General Manager, and successfully led the region through a transformation aimed at enhancing the flexibility and listening ability of all stakeholders. During this time, she focused on building a team that effectively positioned Takeda as a key partner by institutions, patient organizations, and the wider scientific community which resulted in Takeda Italia S.p.A. being recognized as a Top Employer.

She graduated with a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and holds a Master’s degree in General Management from the ESCP Business School. Annarita lives in Rome with her husband, Maurizio, and their daughter, Ilaria.
