Daryl Kreml - Ethics & Compliance Leader at Takeda

Daryl Kreml serves as the Head of Ethics & Compliance, Global Oncology Business Unit at Takeda. In this role he is responsible for Takeda Oncology’s ethics and compliance strategy, advancing a culture of integrity and adherence to laws, regulations, and internal standards.

Daryl is a seasoned business leader with deep expertise in risk, compliance, and law. His career spans government, private practice, and corporate roles, where he has consistently applied an insightful, problem-solving approach to complex challenges.

He began his career as a Legal Adviser in the Office of General Counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency. He later joined the Compliance and Enforcement Practice Group of a leading law firm, working in Washington, D.C., and London.

His in-house leadership roles at major life sciences companies have included Boston Scientific, Biogen, and Sage Therapeutics.

Throughout his career, Daryl has formed and transformed compliance functions from the ground up and pioneered innovative programs, including an integrated, AI-supported ethics and compliance framework featured in a Harvard Business School case study.

Daryl holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Olivet Nazarene University.
