Chris Braithwaite | Head of Data, Digital and Technology | Takeda Oncology

Chris Braithwaite is Global Head of Data, Digital and Technology for the Oncology Business Unit. In this role Chris is responsible for driving innovation in Takeda Oncology by embracing data, digital and technology.

Chris brings over 20 years of experience in delivering technology solutions that facilitate the development and commercialization of medicines, bringing life changing science to patients. He has played a pivotal role in several key functions and global transformation initiatives across various technology and business sectors. Prior to joining Takeda, Chris served as the Global Head of DD&IT for Global Drug Development at Novartis. Previously, he held the position of Vice President of Global Commercial IT at AstraZeneca and served as the CIO for AstraZeneca US.

Originally from the UK, Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Computing from the University of Manchester, where he also completed several years of postgraduate research.
