Mario Damo | CFO, Oncology Business Unit | Takeda Oncology

Mario Damo is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) and a member of the Global Oncology Leadership Team. Mario has expertise in finance, strategy, business development and people management, in a career spanning across both the pharmaceutical and consumer goods sectors, while living in cities across Asia, Europe and the United States.

Before joining Takeda, Mario was VP Finance for Biogen’s U.S. Operations, where he helped shape the region’s strategic priorities and manage the multiple sclerosis and rare disease portfolio, while driving resource allocation to create space for new asset launches. Prior to this role, he was VP Finance for the Intercontinental Region, supporting expansion in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Biogen, Mario worked for ten years at GSK both in Asia and Europe. He was VP Finance for the company’s Pharma Transformation and Consumer Separation program. Preceding this position, he served as VP Finance for the Europe Mid-size and Cluster Markets contributing to the transformation of the region’s commercial go-tomarket strategy. Additionally, he was VP Commercial Finance for the Global Vaccines Business Unit supporting the expansion of the portfolio following the acquisition from Novartis.

Mario holds Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of the East in Manila.
